No New Posts Entrance Hall

This entrance is located on the back corner of the west side of the Weyr. It's a large wooden door has a drawbridge opening - and has a leverage system that uses a small dragon or wher to open. It opens up into the large entrance hall that branches off to the other main areas of the Weyr. The grand room has long windows that face the weyr bowl and light up the room during the day.

No New Posts Weyrleader & Weyrwoman Office

This room is located parallel to the entrance hall. Ithas two desks and a large square table in front of them. Paperwork is done here, along with many leadership meetings.

No New Posts Portrait Hall

This circular large and grand room is rather empty. It has a sculpture of the first ever Weyrwoman’s dragon in the center. The walls have long thin windows that face the Hold and the Weyr bowl. Between windows are large portraits of most all Vernazza Weyrwomen. The proud Weyrleaders also added their portraits to the hall. Half the room’s walls are empty, room for future Weyrwomen and leaders to add their portraits if they wish.

Classroom A has windows that face the Weyrbowl, Classroom B has windows that face the ocean and hold. These classrooms have many uses, one of them being for candidates and weyrlings to have their lectures here.

No New Posts Main Hall

The largest circular room in the Weyr. Long tables surround the edges of the room, leaving the center mostly empty for feasts and celebration dances.

No New Posts Craft Master Offices

Not all these rooms between the Main Hall and Dining Room are occupied, but the ones that are, are used for the Craft Masters and their apprentices for their crafts.

This room is filled with long tables that are used for meal times.
Kitchens – Food is prepared here for meals and feasts that are primarily made up of the fresh fruits and fish that are gathered locally.

No New Posts Infirmary

This infirmary has rooms for the sick and thread scored riders. This is where healers do most of their work and store their medicines for threadfall.

This circular two story grand library is open for anyone to use. There are books that range from dragon care to plants, to math – to all sorts of books. A lot of these books are fading, there is a lot of work to be done to restore the older books.

Board Description
Vernazza Castle
Lining the weyr bowl is a man made stone castle like structure. There are multiple ways to get in to the castle section; many of the weyrs have access through tunnels, or through entrances within the weyr bowl. The only way to get into the Weyr not on dragonback is hiking around toward west backside where the main entrance is located. This hike from the hold is steep and treacherous journey takes half a day.
